The study on MSMEs was conducted in the specific context of Ukraine. Guidelines and best practices were developed based on the analysis of MSMEs’ situation due to the COVID-19 crisis. This study highlights how opportunities and challenges in the area of critical raw materials supply chain and how MSMEs can contribute to building back the economy from the pandemic related crises.

A training workshop was conducted with the purpose of highlighting the key findings, including: 

- Opportunities for MSMEs in the production of CRMs in Ukraine
- Application of UNFC and UNRM in sustainable management and achieving circularity in CRM use
- Disclosure requirements to propel increased investments in the CRM sector
- Policy recommendations to support MSMEs engagement in the critical raw material supply chains.
